About Me

“I believe that architecture is the idea of creating a space that responds to the individual's needs while reflecting to their own unique taste and personality. Great architecture positively impacts human behaviour, thus improving the quality of people's lives, which in turn contributes to the well-being of our society!”

Architecture is my passion!

From an early age I was faced with the challenge of finding a career that would suit my personality and interests. I always aimed high dreaming of becoming a pilot that would travel around the world, or a singer so that I could be in tune with melody and rhythm, and even a writer so as to connect with people and their ideas.

Dreams aside, the one thing I did know was that I was always drawn to art, music and design. I not only enjoy seeing a unique architectural element, but also absorbing the art and the thought that went behind that piece. What was the story behind this element’s creation?

Growing up in a country that was so rich in culture, history and art, my passion for architecture emerged. After 3 years of studying Electrical Engineering, I realized that I wanted, and needed, to merge my passion for design with my newly acquired skills.  I came to the realization that I truly fit in to the world of architecture which uniquely combines science, art and psychology. This interesting blend of scientific and artistic fields was exciting, and led me to pursue my new dream of becoming an architect.

I obtained my Master's in Architecture and Urban Design with an honours from one of the recognized architectural universities in Iran. I practiced architecture in Tehran for several years before eventually moving to Toronto. I spent the next 10 years working at Core Architects where I had the opportunity to work in, and lead, many design projects of various scales and phases both locally and internationally. During that time I obtained my architectural license from the Ontario Association of Architects (OAA).

In 2013, in order to take my career in a different direction, I joined the team at Quadrangle Architects where I gained valuable leadership experience while deepening my knowledge of architecture.

Years of practicing my craft in Canada and Internationally have given me the confidence to spread my wings and make my vision a reality.  To this effect, I have established my own design firm:A & Architects.  With this new venture, I aim to apply my skills and knowledge to create a beautiful world to live and grow in.

I am looking forward to creating timeless architectural pieces that cater to the well being of people from all walks of life!
